Our recently-restored 19th century hunting lodge, located at the foot of the renowned Monti Pisani, is only 5 km from the historic town of Lucca.
Take advantage of our privileged position in the tranquil Tuscan countryside, while still within reach of the historic towns. We offer an airport shuttle for your convenience and bicycle rental so you can explore Lucca’s ancient architecture in comfort and style. Lucca is one of the most pleasant Italian towns to enjoy a nice walk; each street in fact follows the scheme of the roman colony and the historic centre, created by small streets which open to squares, is nestled by five hundred years old city walls. Lucca is not only the hometown of Giacomo Puccini but is also full of churches in Romanic-Pisano style such as the Cathedral dedicated to San Martino which preserve masterpiece as the small octagonal altar of “Volto Santo” , the face of Christ, and the tomb of Ilaria del Carretto made by Jacopo della Quercia.
The main street is Via Fillungo, a nice walk between boutiques, old goldsmiths and nice nightclubs. All buildings of Piazza del Mercato follow the original elliptical outline of the roman amphitheatre.
